Values of Men Aiming Higher, Inc.

Men Aiming Higher, Inc. is committed to the intellectual development of youth and the economic empowerment of our communities based on the following precepts: respect for family, spirituality, justice, and integrity.

Save Our Youth / Racing 4 Life, LLC was started in September 2001, We saw that there was a need to better enrich the lives of the under-served youth's in their communities and what better way to do so than through the automotive industry. Since that time we have touched the lives of many young people across the Washington Metropolitan region by providing something that many never had, HOPE.

Save Our Youth/Racing 4 Life, LLC services these young people through an after school Jr. Dragster program, where they learn about the automotive and racing industry's, but  most of all the student gain educational value in the subjects such as Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). The program not only educates the students on racing and automotive, but it also provides them with leadership and career development, which is something that many under-served youths are lacking. It is our goal to enrich the lives of elementary to high school students, males and females between the ages of 5-19 years old with a year-round , hands-on, challenging and quality after school program.  The program introduces the students to various certification, internships and apprenticeships and even helps guide the students in the right direction for college. SOY/R4L hosts weekly and monthly programs at different local schools with outreach programs throughout Prince George's County, all the while using racing experience to make the connection between racing life,team-building and education.SOY/R4L other goal is to inspire African- American youth by bringing  diversity to the race track and  ownership of a race team.

The Company Vision :
"Keeping Today's Youth on the Fast Track for Life".

Mission Statement:
Suitlandfest CDC and The New Recreation Council are both non-profit 501 © 3 corporations, that focuses on development, management and oversight of recreation. In addition to promoting community services support and preventive interventions for juvenile (high risk youth) programs and activities and artist development. These
initiatives are tools that support social reform and community revitalization.

Suitland CDC caters our resources and services to youth, teens, adults, seniors and at-risk families of Suitland, Maryland and surrounding areas in Prince George's County.

We are fully aware of the social and economical ills of today's society and truly believe in the philosophy of each one, reach one and teach one.
In conjunction with the Maryland National Capitol Park and Planning Commission, The New Suitland Recreation Council, Wimbush Inc. and the many faithful supporters and partners within our circle. We are creating a new approaches to old problems.

Youth of today have evolved far beyond the intellect of those of the past. They are in need of positive avenues to cultivate their creative energies. Without these resources, their focus tends to sway into a life of destruction, leading to drug abuse, crime, and poor family values. Suitlandfest CDC and it’s network offers a vast selection of resources, that will provide opportunities to the youth and at-risk families, which will help restore a balance of positive actions and role models within the community.

Seniors are also being outcasted and becoming prisoners of a community in which most of them are cornerstones. As pillars of the community these seasoned citizens, have the knowledge and the understanding of the changing world, however the world seems to overlook them and leave them without a clue to what's actually going on. There are many services and resources out there that no one bothers to inform the seniors of. Many are in need of medical and financial assistance, but no one offers it to them. We are the voice of the community. We seek out pure issues of the community and present them as one powerful voice of the people, and assist with locating or implementing solutions.

Our organization is composed of a diverse group of professional and community leaders, who have come together to make a difference and empower the communities.
